Hi fleur, nice to meet you!

Nice stuff, just keep working on the fundamentals like figure, anatomy, perspective etc. Stan Prokopenko has a great series about figure drawing on YouTube if you haven't seen it already: http://www.youtube.com/user/ProkoTV I'm currently watching (and re-watching) his videos and they are very helpful. Another video that has helped me a lot is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQYoVXXlGt0

Keep at it, and welcome to the forums! :D

Thanks! I know I have problems in those fields haha I think it's all practice. I have seen those videos but not in detail (and putting them to practice) so I'll be sure to check them out
again. Thanks for the feedback!

Just a super quick sketch; not had time to draw at all because of school work.
Soon as weekend hits I'm going to do some anatomy work right away. And face proportions (the lips are hugenormous)

Watching this video to see if it's of any use to me (as alot of people have recommended her book).
Here's my pre-vid drawing (I look very happy...):

Hey Fleur, you've got some cool stuff here! Like marshmellow said work on those fundamentals ^^ but we all have to do that haha. Just practice and you'll improve, you're off to a good start! :)

Thanks, yeah I have a long way to go; lots and lots of practice. I've been doing some gesture drawings every day to start off and will probably move onto a bit of anatomy soon.

Some fun stuff, just because I've been so busy with school I haven't wanted to do any technical stuff recently (I've been doing some gesture stuff though). It's supposed to be this post-apocalyptic world thing inspired by the arena concept corner last week... The guy is meant to be wearing a gas mask where oxygen is supplied from a container on his back, with a scarf and full face covered. Also the building is meant to be a survivor's hideout place, which is a derelict building.

Problems I'm spotting are:
-Lack of detail on the building, I was thinking maybe textures would solve this but they turned out disastrous when I tried them (mostly because I couldn't find the correct ones)
-The lighting on the face and building..
-The movement of the scarf, it looks too clunky and the folds aren't right..

So much stuff to work on! -headdesk-
Any concrit is appreciated

Be careful with your perspective, gotta apply it everywhere. The overhanging arch thing in the center looks like the lines are either parallel or getting further apart as they recede.

I don't know whether it's the mouth shape or eye shape that makes my charas look evil... but yeah I was supposed to be studying and found myself doodling.
They're inspired by Elsa and Anna but I didn't have exact references or anything so I can't really say it's them hahaha :)

Warning: Huge eyes alert. Proceed with caution.
Oh and their heads are huge, I feel sorry for their poor poor necks

School's been busy had hardly any time to draw :(
Watched Sycra's video and did a bit of my own research on calves: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-z-ief9m0HY
Did first sheet from vid and second from memory; still more practice is needed!
See if I can still draw these at the weekend :P I think this kind of research definitely helps and interests me too.The bit about the hollow in the back of my knee literally blew my mind hahaha!

Just posting to remind myself that I've done 1-4 in light series by Sycra and that I need to go practice some spheres; I'll probably update this post with my sketches.

Just a little sketch for fun as I've been doing studies.
Outfit idea from here: http://www.marketingmagazine.co.uk/arti ... n-strategy
Dont even ask about the pose.. No ref used P: critique is appreciated :) I'm always wanting to know how to improve my anatomy

Edit made left thigh a bit shorter (relooked at it this morning and thought it was a bit long)

After watching all of Sycra's light series, thought it'd be interesting to get the face planes and use a sphere test to try and shade them.. don't think it was a bad attempt but was my first time so it's pretty rough. And I have no idea how I'm going to be able to put this into shading a sketch (unless I draw all the planes out) Guess I'll be able to recognise the planes in my head over time and practice?
These are Loomis' head planes by the way: http://www.learning-to-see.co.uk/images ... planes.jpg
Edit: Second page! :D

Tried coloring the body; also put this in for critique.
I'll come back to this tomorrow hopefully after doing some research on back and bumping up the values.

Edit: added repaint
