Subject title: Blitz's Sketchbook Hoard [NSFW(Maybe/Eventually)]

Hi I'm Blitz/David I've been on the forum for a few weeks but not really posted much but i'm (hopefully) going to start doing more art and posting on here :D

I've Drawn for a fair amount of my life but haven't really done it seriously so i'm starting with the fundamentals and working towards a better understanding of art and an increase in skill

Critique is very much welcome although I'm only posting basic stuff i'd appreciate it when i start doing more advanced stuff :)

Here's a few Draw a box things i've been doing -

You're putting in work with those line and perspective exercises! What's your end goal? Like, do you want to do landscapes/cityscapes stuff?

Well i'd actually like to do landscapes and people mainly

I just figured i'm still lacking a lot of the fundamentals so I thought this would be a good place to start

*Update* A few weeks ago I got a summer job that took up pretty much all of my time for the past few weeks, meaning I've had less time to draw and haven't posted anything.

Anyhow here are a few plant drawings from the 3rd 'drawabox' lesson (in chronological order).
(And some weird plant sprite)

wow you're studies are really solid. you seem like a dedicated person! from what i see it seems like your having a little trouble with applying your studies though, for example when you tried drawing the car in the box, you didn't draw through the forms and your box wasn't really solidly constructed, which you displayed you could do in a previous update. i know you said critiques would be better for what you're going to make in the future but i think it's important to know if you're getting your fundamentals down right! anyway, i love what you're doing here and i cant wait to see your continued progression! :D

Thank Alpaca! If you have any advice on what/how to practice I would greatly appreciate it :D, i'm still not 100% sure how to go about the fundamentals

what you're doing right now is basically developing your fundamentals, i say start delving into figure drawing/ observational stuff. check out proko's, sinix's and sycras videos on anatomy and check out glen vilppu. andrew loomis' figure drawing for all it's worth is a good book to incorporate what you're doing on drawabox. i say the best way to improve is to get very specific about what you want to do and what you like.
