This looks like it will be a great piece!! 0.0 though pay a bit attention to the values, right now it looks a bit muddy with the bright bits everwhere, it might help if you try to paint the piece for a while being extremely zoomed out, and see if it still reads like that :)

@lilla: thanks! i hope it will be, i tried fixing the values a bit but it's quite the challenge with all the fire haha, painting zoomed out helped alot though
@Marcelo: thank you! :D
@Oli: thanks man haha, yea my poses tend to be stiff, big working point for me, i'm still gonna try some stuff with maybe showing some legs and making the cape more flowy, already did the hair which is helping a little bit

idk how to push this anymore, i can't find the right reference and without reference i don't have enough knowledge of the lighting situation. Also didn't like the colour balance so leaving it as is in greyscale

onto new stuff

Nice! Grats on finishing exams.

For the dragon piece I suggest making the dragon a darker value so it pops from the flames. Flames could also be more intense and brighter in general. Getting the girl's values right will be the tricky part. Try grouping and simplifying them. Know which parts are in shadow and which are in the light.

I freakin love dragons!
If I had any advice I would go with make sure higher contrast would be on your focal point...which in this case is the dragon and the girl. If you darken the dragon, add a cast shadow from the light of the fire on the ground, and add a little harder rim light, from the flames onto the dragon and the ground, that should make him pop. As far as the girl is concerned, perhaps a little magic aura could help?
I like how its getting more detailed in the foreground and blurry in the background behind the fire. You might could exaggerate that a bit more? Hopefully this helps... Definitely love the new piece. The colors and how my eye moves through the crowd's composition. Very well done.

These last few pieces look pretty great! I can get a real sense of the scope of things in each scene.

Nice looking cards dude! I would suggest not to use the drop shadow on the icons. Either that or decrease the hardness so the edges of the shadow aren't as hard. The actual illustrations are great though! keep up the great work!

Thank you Geryes ^^

So i'd love some feedback on my next painting, for this one i'm going try and push myself to the next level, i'm going to search 10x more reference, i'm going to spend 10x more time on each part of the painting and hopefully i'll get an awesome painting out of it. This is a veeery rough sketch, the only thing i spent some time on is the figure.
As for story, i'm going to paint dead bodies and a sword next to her throne, the idea being she slayed the men and now their spirits are kneeling in front of her while she claimed the throne. If you guys have some feedback on the story (maybe u have a better idea) or on the composition or any cool lighting situations (which is not established yet) let me know!

I really like this last piece you are working on and the story behind it so far. I think one thing i would suggest to help imply that the ghost come from the sword is to have her resting the sword in front of her so that the ghosts are projecting from the blade itself. Just a thought. Keep up the great work!

thanks geryes, i feel like the composition is lacking alot so i'm gonna leave it as is for a while, might come back to it later (most likely will)
