Finally got around to making a sketchbook. I'm aiming to become an illustrator of some sort. Feel free to critique! :)

Recently I've been doing some portrait studies that doubled as value studies.

These were studies done from photos after watching proko videos on mannequinization of the figure.

I gotta remember to update this... I have some backgrounds here I did for a visual novel game jam. I did them over the course of a month and a half during early February/ all of March.

This is a piece I did for a light grey art lab gallery show where the theme was Camouflage. I feel like I could have done better but it was a good experience.

Trying to figure out what I've already posted, what I haven't posted, what I don't want to post, and what I'm even allowed to post haha...So these are somewhat old.

The completed piece. I feel like the colors are a little distracting from the focal point...

Oh yeah and I made a some brushes for glitter for Clip Studio Paint. I don't know if they'll be of use but I thought it was fun haha. The brush engine is has a lot more options than photoshop's brush engine (which I have yet to fully understand). You can download the brushes here if you'd like.

I'm so glad you got around to posting a sketchbook, your work is absolutely phenomenal! Your sketchwork is probably my favorite part, and your greyscale paintings are really beautiful!

-And I totally downloaded those glitter brushes! Thank you for sharing them! I haven't figured out how to to make good brushes in CSP yet, but I love coming across other people's creations!

Oh, also, those visual novel environments are amazing- At first glance I almost thought they were done in a 3D program, rather than painted! Wowzers! <3

stardustascension - Thanks so much for the words of support! :D

I got Michael Hampton's Figure Drawing Design and Invention book recently and been using it in conjunction with watching Proko figure drawing videos. I feel like both have material that's helping me understand the figure better. These are some spine studies. The line quality isn't too good. I don't think I really understand the pelvis too well.
