Subject title: Kiyo's Sketches

I'm relatively new to posting a sketchbook on a forum, but I figured this would helpful in improving. If you have any opinions on any of my sketches feel free to express them. I'll try updating the thread at least once a week.

Here are some sketching of characters from the manga "Soul Eater". I'm a big fan of the manga and I love how you can see the artist improve from chapter 1 all the end of the series.

Here is a sketch of a random character not based on any series.

Hi there! Oh wow, Soul Eater! It's been a while since I last read the manga. Nice to see there's still fan-art of it going around, and yours look great! Keep it up :D

Welcome to the forum, and awesome drawings! I don't know anything about Soul Eater, but your drawings have a lot of life and personality!

Times varies from drawing to drawing, but it takes about an hour for just the shading. The line art takes a few hours because I draw a sketch then I redraw the sketch to refine it and do this about 3-4 times.

Thanks! I Really like the art style so I try to learn from it.

Just dumping a new Drawing for this week. Its Mifune from "Soul Eater". I think I might do a few sketches of characters from "Blue Exorcist" next week. I don't know, just something to keep me drawing.

Heh, Soul Eater, sounds nostalgic. It was a nice series with great designs. And I still have "Papermoon" opening song on my phone.
Nice ones, keep going!

Here's another sketch, though its sloppy. Its Rin Okumura from Blue Exorcist.
Right now I'm just trying to have fun while drawing and not focus on making things perfect or doing anatomy studies, etc.

Really nice fanart sketches. Keep it up, man. There's no such thing as too much fanart when it comes to drawing. :D

Thanks! I do a lot of fan art because I feel like it puts me in the shoes of the original artist. I think about every line I draw and try to understand the artist thought process when they drew that line.

Definitely best way to make your style like you want it. :D

Trying to find different ways of saying another one so I don't sound like DJ Khaled. Oh well. Here's another one. Its a sketch of Izuku from My Hero Academia. I really like the pose and wanted to learn from it.

I'm hyped for season 2 of My Hero Academia and Attack on Titan so I drew All Might vs the Colossal Titan. Don't know how well I did on the muscles, but I feel like a learn a bit from trying.

I'm a bit late on the post, no excuses. I've been working on a drawing that I feel is pushing my skill further and has taken me a while to get it were its at. Its still incomplete, but I wanted to post the line art before I start rendering to much and see want you guys think. Any tips or glaring errors? Yes I know the hand is messed up but I did what I could to make look like a hand. The character is Yukihira Soma from the manga Shokugeki no Soma.

Well, if you'll take advice from me, then Yuki's looking pretty uncomfortable with his arm in that position. It's sort of floating and maybe it's just me, but it'd be more so resting if I was carrying it like that.
Also, I think his neck's a little too long and whilst it seems you're trying to have his head turn a little to the left (the character's right) the face is looking too lopsided and it's ended up kind of wonky?

Sorry for so many weaslewords but I'm just trying to cover my bases lol. I'm not the greatest artist myself so...
Happy Birthday to me.
Soon I'll have no excuse *sobs*

Yeah I see what you mean. The ears aren't properly lined up, and the neck is too long. The arm was the thing that I couldn't quite put my finger on, but now I know what it was. Thanks for the feedback!
