Subject title: Fedodika the Koala

guess i'll throw these up, been working on just quickly knocking my goal for drawing hands outta the way, so i'll get more back to digi stuff when i'm done with that in probably a week. It's been helping me with more things than i expected it to, not just hands :)

These were all done in less than 2 hrs though i should probably spend more time on them, i will soon :D

You have some really imaginative stuff, which is good, a lot of artist struggle to keep their imagination in there as they work on technical skills.

I would suggest you work as much on your draftsmanship as you do on painting, its hard to balance everything but in order to bring your painting to the next level you need to have solid drawings behind them.

Dude!!!
This!!!
Spoiler: show
www.png

This is from the King Arthur movie "Excalibur"... it was the very first VHS movie my parents bought :o
That movie is priceless, with names:
Gabriel Byrne;
Liam Neeson;
Patrick Steward;
Nigel Terry;
Helen Mirren ... (really hot back then) 8-);
Nicol Williamson;

Damn Bro!! I grew up watching that movie... :cry: feeling nostalgic now

:D

Great studies buddy...
Tip... Don't waist to many time in rendering out hands ...yet... after the 100th page of really sketchy ones... then you should do that.

Just a way to save some time I think.
I'll go and follow my own example now, cuz I rarely do hands :roll: has a study I mean. You got me motivated to do more. :D

Peace out... cool to see you're updates, and how you're busting you butt at them.
:D
Keep it up!

Wave: Yaaay! That's awesome man, yea i was on cinemasquid lookin for stills and i saw that thumbnail! I was like wow, i remember seeing this very young, i need to watch it again too! it has such beautiful lighting, very glowing and bright/pretty colors! yea these hand paintings i'm not spending more than an hour or two on just so i can keep my painting skills from getting rusty while i do all this sketching practice this month! the drawing seems to be helping me in many more ways than i expected too :). i really appreciate your comment, it kinda made my day :)!

Here's a "could be better" hand and a quick lizard buddy sketch.

I have to agree with wave, whats the point of rendering outall these hands? I mean, its great skin tone/painting practice, but if you really want to get good at hands, learning hand construction and just drawing a crap ton of hands would be much better. After all rendering hands isnt THAT hard, its pretty much just a palm, with cylinders :lol: You told me about this before (when I was colouring anatomy studies) theres no real point to do that if your trying to learn anatomy. :lol:

Wenqdu: thanks so much! very nice to hear!

Ernie: i think it's a tail, though i don't know why a bay would need a pecker that big :>. also, i had a dream i met you, and you weren't 19, you were like 10, and you had a huge sack of Now and Later candies. You were also watching a TV program of Hitmonlee kicking Susan Boyle in the face on the pixelated level in supersmash brothers for the N64. I kept telling you that you are awesome and you kept saying, "i know, I know."

Fleur: <3

Here are some studies and sketches, i'm gonna be doing a big picture soon, with lots of time invested and pushing the rendering/compositions skills bear wit me :)
