Subject title: Hybrid's Drawlings Vol. 2

Vetyr wrote:Sorry if you've answered this before Hybrid, but do you have a thing for Natalie Hall's drawings?

haha, yes, I do like her art and I follow her on instagram and tumblr. When I was still figuring out my curvy and wavy style, my discovery of her art helped me with gesture and shape a lot. Some things I think may have unconsciously crept there way into some of my art though.

Really amazing that you aren't afraid of drawing in your own style and how it's easy to recognize its your work in any medium!

Going to start lurking this sketchbook from now on.
Hope I make some sense in my babblings:''D

Also, yes he does have six wings! He has three pairs on his back, and the set of wings on his headdress as well. So three pairs of useable ones, and a singular pair of decorative wings xD

Thank you! even though I think anything digital loses a bit of style.

The wip will never be finished lol, it's old, but thank you! I was experimenting with color on that one.

oH no don't cry. I don't mind putting in a bunch of effort into something I decided to do myself. Ha, I honestly think you deserve something for making it this far in terms of drawing and stuff, and starting your comic. The full body portion of the animation probably won't be too great considering I suck at full body stuff still, but it's good practice. And it's definitely wing practice >.> Hooboy. And yes! I do have more traditional stuff and some more sculptures but I've been too tired to spend time to take pictures and upload lately. I was actually thinking of doing it today . . . . or tomorrow . . . . . eh.

And yeah, I think I'll just give him just 4 usable ones sorry D': Maybe 6 if I can nail the wing animation with the 4, first.

You can give him four wings if that's easier for you, I know six is a lot of wingage, but idk he's just always been like that. He's a different type of angel to Caio, who's just the bog standard rofl
Idk I just think it's such a nice gesture that you would do that, because obviously that takes time out of your life from doing your own things >A<

I've always wanted to do an egg adopt raffle thingy and since I started using instagram again I thought I'd give it a try even though I don't expect very many people to join, if any. Haha, but this is it so far. Got to add color now.

Working on Neso's animation has given me a lot of practice with wings

Sorry some of these are pretty small. Posting on here is a hassle and I like to do it as quick as possible. Ehh..... but hey, more traditional stuff!

Takumi fan art! I love Fire Emblem, the cute little royal pain in the butt
Morgan 1.jpg
This is a new oc of mine. His name is morgan and I love him even though this picture sucks. He collects potion bottles.
Morgan 2.jpg
This demonstrates how he walks -- on all fours. Yes his body is human. He can walk on his back legs, but when he does, his long neck shrinks and his legs get longer so he's proportionate and able to maneuver properly on 2 legs.
Rabiit queen.jpg
That rabbit queen oc I randomly made up. She's technically a furry I guess. I forgot to draw her crown.

Here she is again without her crown again.

Something I just suddenly started making. I had the intent to draw a harpy but instead it became a cute little cherub. I love cherubs <3

I want critiques/tips on this as I go because I have no idea what I'm doing, so don't be shy!

Wow oh wow do I suck at digital. ugh, I feel like I'm losing/forcing my curvy style, and I don't want to lose it :/ I also dislike how I paint so much, I want a cool stylist way of painting and I can't seem to find one. I feel like I know and don't know what to stride for. *sighs* I hope I can get good one day.

Anyway, my cherub so far. I have no idea what to do with the hair as of right now. The apple looks stupid -- is it too dark on the one side?

I actually really love the apple xD And idk you won't find a style unless you keep experimenting with painting, so all you can do is practice owo
Of course, you could always look up and study artists you like, try and get a style like theirs?

Whelp, here are the really bad story boarding stuff for my little comic I'm working very slowly on. I'm not used to drawing tiny, but since they're supposed to be quick and messy, I don't care too much about how bad the drawings are. I have a few more, but I lost them. I think I know where they're at but I'm too lazy to move the stuff to get to them.

Any who, I'm having fun with these, and since I know nothing about doing comic stuff I'm just winging everything until it looks okay to me, lol. There is supposed to be dialogue in the few final page thumbnails, but I'm going to figure out where those go later and stuff.

The story is an AU (or Alternate Universe) for the characters from another story I've been planning and working on for about 4 years. There names are Remmie and Noir (and if you followed my old sketchbook you should know who they are ;u;).

In this Au, Remmie is a messenger who's gotten lost on one of his trips after a monster attacked him and stole the very important letter he was delivering. He finds Noir battered and injured, and rescues him. Remmie is very outgoing, helpful, friendly, and empathetic, but he can be very dependent and is very cowardly.

Noir is a soldier. He is very temperamental, materialistic, and stubborn. Noir, being a top soldier and protector of the king, is very mean to Remmie because he's of lower status. He aids Remmie in his quest to find the monster and the stolen letter to gain back his sense of pride after having been rescued by "the lowly peasant". He tends to make the excuse that "soldiers are supposed to help all citizens", when he really couldn't care less about Remmie. It's a bit more complicated than that and I still have a lot of stuff to plan so that's the gist of it.

I have a sketchbook dedicated to drawing just in pen so I do draw in pen quite a bit. When i draw in pen I seem to be more loose and care free so i thought it would good to use for this type of thing.

Thank you, I like my eyes too <3

I was trying to sketch in pencil and then apply pen over the top, and whilst it does relieve a lot of tension and stress from working in pen, it doesn't have the same feel xD I couldn't stray from pen, but I will have to draw in pencil for my actual comic pages as I want them to look as good as I can physically get them to look

I like to draw in just pen a lot, but I draw and work on my floor because my only table has all my painting stuff on it and my sculptures, so I have ink stains all over my carpet. woops. For the actual pages I was going to ink them and hopefully succeed because i suck at inking. I have some calligraphy pens/nibs and stuff that I like to use more than outliner pens, but I think one of my favorite nibs is ruined. :( If I can't get decent results with ink, I'll have to settle for just pencil.

How is it even possible to work on the floor? Doesn't that ruin your back? xD My desk is pretty crowded but I always make room for my sketchbook, although I always have to move my tablet out of the way when I do so

Imagine an extra tall bunk bed, without the bottom bed. all of my art stuff is underneath my 10 foot tall bed and I sit on the floor with my back pressed against the ladder. My back is a-okay. The only down fall is that I get yelled at 24/7 for having a messy room when my sketchbooks and pencils and laptop and tablet are all over the floor.
