Until that, here's a half study half quick painting type test and another half of eye training, cause in my world things have 3 halves!

Welcome to the forum! I'm new here as well actually. And a very nice start. The color blending for the skin looks very nice!
Hey there! My name is Jeoffrey Robinson, but you can call me Jeff, or anything you feel comfortable with. I have been drawing for nearly a year now, and am just getting back from a long hiatus. I am eager to start improving again and finally get good with art!

Thank you for the welcome guys!

Here's once again a somewhat quick study, around 1 and half hours maybe, trying to get better with colors cause it's the thing I struggle with the most.
Bonus points if anyone recognizes the movie :D

By the way, I'm curious from what movie that shot was.

I believe it's a scene at the beginning of iron man. If I remember correctly.

Haha yeah it can be misleading =p especially when you're russian. Does it say anything interesting?

It's just "Produce". Like if the name of a grocery store was just "Food" or "Groceries".

Incredible work, by the way! I can't wait to see it get even better as time goes on.

Ah ok I see haha, it's funny how I painted that part like shapes cause I can't read it, and then it turns out to be readable :D
Thank you!

Heyo
Thank you Oli!
I've made this piece for a league of legends streamer. The idea popped in my head knowing the dudes style and I knew he'd like it if he sees it, and he used the image at the start of the streams which is pretty sweet :D
Haven't been doing many studies, more observations or if I decided to practice something I didn't really save files, which probably is not the smartest thing cause won't have anything to compare or see clear progress in the future except these types of images.

Here's a character named Hattori from the game Brawlhalla. Pretty fun fighting game to improve procrastination on haha.
Was fun to do.
Had to do quite a lot of sketches to find a pose I'd want since it was a pretty hard pose to get a reference for :D
Probably going to post it in the critique center too, want to know what I'd need to focus on to make a piece like this better!
If you have any ideas feel free to share!

Here's another fun one I made for the Brawlhalla people. I like doing these, feels like it's good practise getting an image past the sketch part for once, used to get impatient and always end up with sketches, but this teaches some art patience lessons and it's good.

I can also try stuff out in them, for example I saw a screenshot from one of James Gurney's books from a random page and I noticed this part saying "put white/bright objects behind peoples heads to bring them out" and I remembered that during the making of this one and I tried putting that window there. And also had fun with colors which is why I made the sky those colors : ]

My eyes almost bugged out of my head at the drapery studies... I could have sworn they were photographs at first glance.

Wow! I like where you're going. You have a good sense of lighting and gesture. Your perspective could use some work, watch out for that. Can't wait to see what master piece you'll come up with next! Do you have DA page or some other gallery I can follow? I'm really lazy when it comes to following these forum threads.

@DRaff210
Lol haha, did not expect such effects

@wartynewt thank you, I also recorded those draperies being done back then, if you're interested here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02zW73r0uSw!
With Hattori I definitely was in some weird positions trying to figure out her pose :D

@Mandilor Thank you for the feedback, definitely have to pay more attention to perspective, and a lot more!
as for other galleries I have Artstation and DeviantArt however I post randomly, I may upload more stuff on deviantart in the future such as sketches and put more serious stuff on artstation.

Meanwhile some late night sketching

Holy crap, these two pieces. And you call them "sketches?" :o

How long do these take you approximately? I'm super slow at making anything, but now I know for sure I have to step up my speed game.
