What kind of paper and pencil grade are you using? I can see you use mechanical pencil but I'm not sure the grade of lead in the pencils.

0.3, 0.5 hb mechanical pencils, and normal pencils b & 2b grade. Sketchbook fabriano 160g/m , and several cheap albums.

I really like how you block in the colors and don't overdetail things, like that tree. And that secondary light source on the face is cool.

I use PAP4 from here http://animationpaper.com/old-pap-free-download/
And this program is very basic)
