Subject title: KajimiStarships Sketchbook of Imagination

Hello, I am KajimiStarship, I been drawing all my life and currently I am relearning the fundamentals. My art leans towards Sci-fi and Comic styles with the main focus on character creation and storytelling. I have a web comic called Kurubi Shell about a reptilian family. If you want me to show it, ask me. I am relearning the fundamentals of drawing including pose, gesture and anatomy. I take live sketch classes as much as possible.

Here are my first ones.

Studying anatomy as well as proportion would benefit you best, but I like your experimentation with dynamic poses. Some of the over head ones have arms that are a little too long as well. Otherwise, welcome to the forum! Looking forward to seeing more stuff owo

Thank you. I definitely need to loosen my poses and I have problems with arm and leg lengths.

I like your art as well.

That last one's the best out of the batch I'd say. Learning how to construct the figure 'skeleton' would help you in drawing the correct proportions too I think. Just wondering, how large are the live model sketches? I've found that doing a quick thumbnail of the model first helps, instead of jumping straight into a full sized sketch.

Made using charcoal sticks. Good for my first serious foray into charcoal drawing.

I have been practicing four and five point perspective also known as curvilinear drawings.

Oh boy that's some trippy perspective! Looks pretty cool though.

Keep practising anatomy! It's just a matter of volume - fill a page with half a dozen smaller figure drawings each day and you'll see a lot of improvement after a few weeks.

IMO you should focus on practicing "normal" (i.e. no more than 3 point) perspective. It can be tricky in many cases enough, without making additional problems.

Trying new technique I found in a book called "Figure" by Walt Reed. I think this is the technique for me.
