Subject title: Plutte's(Patrick's) Sketchbook (sketches paintings etc)

New here. Thought I'd start with a sketchbook. Dont really have that many sketches to show. This cause I haven't gotten around to scanning that many. I do however have a new paintings to start off with.

Image

Not sure as I'm writing this if the picture is going to show. We'll see once I submit the post

Welcome to the forum. :)
Nice painting, i think her neck is a little long though. Anyways, i am looking forward to seeing a few of your sketches.

You need the address of the picture itself, not the DA-Page, In this case it should show if you use this:

A couple of sketches
Most, if not all of these sketches are very messy.
The sketches were drawn probably within 1 years time or so. I dont wanna show too old sketches. Feels weird to show old stuff.
My sketches are very random in my opinion. I just sketch what i feel like.
The original scanns looked very pale, so I loaded them up, cropped, changed the levels and image size.

I really like your traditional stuff, it's so natural! :) My advice, don't put images in spoilers, it just gives viewers more work :D

Nice sketchbook, I'll definitely be checking out your progress!

First of all, please don’t put every picture in a different spoiler if you have (if i counted correctly) 16 of them. Nobody wants to click through all of them. Make one or two ones with a few more images, that’s fine.

Secondly, if you are doing your sketches, try to be more precise, and check if the proportion, anatomy is right. If you cant do a clean drawing do studies, if you can, don’t be so lazy ;) A clean line work will help you a lot with the painting later on.

I really like the background and the sword, just maybe study a little bit of anatomy. :)

Thanks for the input. Didn't think of that.:)

I should probably be a little more precise. When I sketch I like to start off very loose. I drew a few of those sketches during my boring/unuseful lectures and never took the time to go in and refine (not sure if that is the right word) things.
Anatomy is not something I've studied that much of. Have any usefule tips on books/references? I'd be glad to know.

critique is always appreciated. I myself think it's a bit empty and the pillar/wall on the right seems to stear out of perspective.

Nice work! Watch your edges though, particularly around the walls, they're a little on the soft side.

Nice composition too! Keep it up :D
