A sketch on panel of absinthe. I had high hopes for this painting, but I feel like the composition just doesn't work, so I think I'm going to re-think it.

edit: I'm just getting rid of it

I totally understand what you mean with the composition, but that cloth fold is amazing.
...you see, it's supposed to be fi_le like the file from the computer... the one where you put the data things in.

Thanks! I put a little more work into it, because it's still a good study to try out technique. Next I'll do the background and the glasses and then I'll probably move on.

Working on a study of a shepherd boy from a painting by Siemeradski today. I love the pose and the modeling of the original, it's so nice.
