Welcome to the forum!

Please don't feel embarrassed to post your work! We're not here to ridicule or anything, we're here to help :D

I like your choice of colours in that piece. They're very lively!

I look forward to seeing what else you can do :D

Any suggestions on something neat I could study? I kinda just rely on style to get me by so any suggestions would be welcome.

Decided to fool around in Corel Painter today. Nothing really worthwhile came from it, but I had fun making scibblies so I don't care.

Some quick noodles aswell.

I always feel like my drawings are either way too clean and flat or way too messy and scribbley.

You've got some serious style! Nice works !

Looks like you know your share of anatomy.. though I'd love to see some more "academic" anatomy drawings. Not so stylized.. just to see what exactly could be improved.

Also, when messing around in Painter, try to blend the colors a bit more.. You can do this by changing the opacity pressure and Eye-Dropping the colors that are generated , so it'll smooth out.. I think this tuto will explain better  (http://kalaalog.com/2007/09/06/shading-approach-for-digital-painting/)

Thanks a bunch! I think my problem was more to do with proportion than anatomy.

Recently I've been spending allot of my time looking at artists like Egon Schiele and Rene Almanza
for inspiration. I think I just need allot more practice before I'm ready to really get into the nitty gritty
of things like they do.

Damn dude, nice lines. Really like your style, would like to see some finished renderings. Your painterly style reminds of this guys http://kjkallio.deviantart.com/gallery/
Keep it up, your nervousness will slowly dissipate with each new post:D

Thanks for the compliments guys ^.^

Sorry I haven't been post pretty much at all, I've been working long days recently and have been exhausted most of the time I'm home.

Anywho, enough excuses. Here's a doodle.

I think it's less mileage that I need at this point but rather productive mileage.

With mileage I meant, consistency. There is a huge gap between your last post and now. So yeah, you need to build up a drawing habit at least like 30 minutes a day. At least that's working in my case. Have fun mate!
