Yeah, the forum's rolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllling again! Nice.

Let's see, I've got some things:
Ohne Titel-303_alt.jpg
Heinrich Vogeler painting study.
Ohne Titel-304_alt.png
Boring sketches.

and somewhat more interestingly, here's my new project. I'm doing a little character design series transforming the major German parties into Anime people. I'm very eager on feedback for this, because I find it very amusing.
Here we have FDP-san:

FDP-san!

as well as Gruene-san:

Have a great day.

Thats a pretty unique project. I just wonder... why? Why would anybody bother with major German parties? :D just kidding.

But to be honest, I am ignorant in that regard, so, what is the joke in the fdp-one for example?
Grüne I get - green-nature-pretty obvious.

Greetings, I have another small basket of mediocre drawings to put up.

In particular of course, hi Polymath, always lovely seeing you in here. How's the game going?
The lil' project was loosely inspired by the EU parliament election, but I find it funny to give a spin to something as famously static as the German political system.
The FDP has a big thing with innovation and new technologies, so that's why the naughts and ones are there. The suitcase stands for entrepeneurship cause boy neoliberals like people who open businesses (which I can very much understand). Also I'm using the colour palettes the organisations use, if you're interested I'll put their websites at the end of this post so you can have a quick look.

Here's CDU-sama:
Ohne Titel-307_alt.jpg
CDU-sama. It's an older guy because the CDU is a Chrisian conservative party.

This fella gave me a lot of trouble with the face and the pose. I find it pretty hard to combine the twig like limbs with how actual people look, not to mention the unusual posing with the Bavarian jacket. I'd appreciate the heck out of a small critique of how the arms are portrayed. (Oh, well, the shirt didn't exactly draw itself either, I don't think I did a good job at all on this.)
The worst decision of all might have been to cut him off at the waistline since it's probably super confusing.

SPD-san:
Ohne Titel-309_alt.png
SPD-san.

This might be the most propagenda-esque one of 'em all. The SPD was founded as an industry worker's thing, however it's been very moderate in the last decade and isn't really represented in the image, I think.

Die Linke-san:
Ohne Titel-310_alt.jpg
Die Linke-san.

I really liked doing this one! "Die Linke" is the leftmost party in the Bundestag at the moment, translating literally into "The left", so there was a lot of iconography to work with. The red flag for socialism is clear I suppose, the broken rifle represents the pretty extreme anti-interventionist positions; we've got the hint at the EU flag in the skirt for their concepts of restructuring the European Union's institutions.

Yeah, that was the whole jam with that. I don't think this was a bad idea at all, a project-based approach is very refreshing! I don't know if I should tackle anything larger regardless, my foundations aren't even OK in my view. Does anyone have the feeling of winging every brushstroke?

Let's see, I've got a bit of news, I bought Clip Studio Paint! I'll see if it's a good fit or not, as weird as Corel Painter is, it handles large resolutions truly brilliantly (on my machine at least).
Ohne Titel-308.png
Here's a bit of toying around with CSP.

Have a great day.

I agree, totally. Very cool to see you do projects, because it gives some structure.
This was a pretty neat project.

Oof been a long time visiting the forums! Your progress is getting steady there. :D Your recent works have good colors and the composition is getting better. Must be because of planning hehe. Just keep it up.

Oh god, what the hell has happened to the time?
I've been on the forums so often and not posted in my own sketchbook for over a month? That's really weird. OK folks, let's bring this baby to speed again:

This is comforting to hear, I sometimes forget that I'm always improving that little bit. You know, a few decades more of these increments and I'll be a really good artists. Well, by then I can probably let an AI paint my pictures for me, but you you know - it will still be kind of a fun vintage thing to do. I can however assure you that my improvement is due to anything but planning!

Heyo Camrade elihir, but unironically! I'd like to know what you mean by that exactly altough I am of course not turning down the compliment. You rock, too, dude.

I should totally start another project, especially since summer holidays are starting tomorrow. Anyone got any ideas?

Gaston? The jpegs, please.

Sketches in Clip Studio, I believe.

Ohne Titel-312_alt.png
Boring lad.

Ohne Titel-316_alt.png
Sketches I coloured just now before posting. A multiply layer sure can work wonders.

The next one was a bit of a pain. You see, the trick that really works every time when you can't nail a face is that you save the painting for a few weeks and then paint a lot of hairs of it after comtemplating the piece. 10/10 would recommend.

Painting Study (GONE WRONG) (GONE OFF THE RAILS)

The original of the studied painting below is my new favourite of all time. By Mikhail Nesterow.
Ohne Titel-318_alt_alt.png
Well...

And this is what I painted today. Thanks to our beloved pitganart, looking at his shenananigans gave me the idea to try out some water.
Ohne Titel-320_alt.png
I like it, I think.

And lastly, my website revamped. Don't attempt to actually use the contact section please. It's supposed to send an e-mail to me, which the server host obviously won't let me do. Comments greatly appreciated:

Yo folks.

So I've had some good free time, been drawing and painting a bit.
Ohne Titel-323_alt.png
So art, much abstract

Ohne Titel-330_alt_alt.png
Sketches

Ohne Titel-331_alt_alt.jpg
Sinix tribute! What fun...

About my obsession with a modern Russian composer:
Ohne Titel-324_alt.jpg
Schostakowitsch Fanart (?)

Ohne Titel-327_2.jpg
Schostakowitsch Photo Study

Industrial Design:
Ohne Titel-325_alt.png
Study!

Ohne Titel-321_alt.jpg
Industrial incompetence.

And for this one I'd love some feedback. This is a portrait study that I enhanced (read "cluttered"). Is this readable at all? Composition got a bit weird, too. Being honest, I did not understand the forms I made up for the My Little Pony thing, didn't really help that I've never seen the show or studied real horses.
Ohne Titel-332_alt.png
Portrait study.

Maybe I should just remove the skull and tone down the lights and poster in the background?

Anyways:
Have a great day.

Hi mates.

So I finished the painting. Now that Sycra went over it in the monthly critique I kinda want to go back and fix some things, but r/Contrapoints recieved it really well regardless. Yes, you read correctly, I posted on Reddit! Post is here.
Ohne Titel-332_alt.jpg
The final version.

Also, I tried a new program.
Ohne Titel-333.png
Sketches in Mischief. Sycra used the program a while ago.

And a game concept! Hey, where's our game designer? Polymath?
Well, I hope you can read this in 1000 pixels.
Ohne Titel-334_alt.png
Special, special!

And an enhanced painting study. The original is by, let's see, Sir George Clausen.
Ohne Titel-337.jpg
Lotta fun in here.

Have a nice day.
